Have you thought about volunteering with your co-workers before? According to the 2017 Deloitte Volunteerism Survey there are many benefits to having employees volunteer together.  

Most employees found that volunteering together is a better morale booster than other company events like happy hours. Almost 90% of respondents found that companies that offered opportunities to volunteer had better, more positive work environments than those who did not. Overall, employees felt that it gave them a sense of purpose and was a great team-building exercise.  

Planning and executing events where employees are volunteering in the community is a great way to advertise an organization’s values. These events are an opportunity to network and find new clients and future employees. They are also useful in that they boost the organization’s reputation as most employees prefer companies that offer volunteering opportunities.
